The louvers that had been in this tower are being taken out and ... probably being repaired and/or replaced. The Friends of Pine Ridge Cemetery met yesterday at Tony's on Columbus Avenue to make plans for memorial day.  After the lunch, I went out to see how the cemetery had survived the winter.  A lot of work needs to be done to maintain the amazing progress that has been made there in the last few years.

The Vassar Historical Society has built this shelter near their new museum on North Main Street where the log can be viewed at anytime. Fraser was involved in the founding of the Saginaw Bay Company.  The company purchased the land on the east side of the river from John Riley for $30,000. They platted out the city, built a dock and a warehouse.
